SHAREPOINT SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT - CONTRACT
We are currently looking for experienced hands-on Microsoft SharePoint Solutions Architect, skilled in Microsoft SharePoint, ideally with experience of MOSS 2007, to deliver and expand our SharePoint business activities in rural Northamptonshire.
Reporting directly to the Business Development Director, your responsibilities include consulting on and designing, developing and deploying Intranet/Extranet solutions and integrating custom applications where required.
The Candidate
A specialist with proven experience of architecting and leading the delivery of solutions based on Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies and with a deep understanding of application architecture and development in the .NET platform.
You will be an enthusiastic and self motivated individual with a minimum of 10+ years of IT experience in a variety of roles, including business/systems analysis and programming/ development.
Ability to work at the business level with clients to comprehend complex issues rapidly and produce technically credible solutions including functional specifications and design specifications.
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a proven ability to develop functional and technical specifications, be client focused and able to deliver to agreed timelines. Travel to client locations will be required.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Bachelors degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent experience.
Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist for MOSS 2007.
• Other relevant Microsoft certifications are also a plus.
Technical
• At least 5 years of architectural/Technical Lead experience
• Strong C# / .NET Framework / ASP .NET 2.0 development proficiency (including web parts, master pages, etc.)
• SQL Server 2005 proficiency in designing database tables and writing stored procedures and T-SQL.
• Practical experience of XML technologies, and their use in messaging/integration is expected
• Website front end technologies such as (D)HTML, AJAX, Javascript, CSS, etc.
• Experience in SOA using .NET
• Knowledge of web design and aesthetic web concepts
• Good understanding of LDAP/Active Directory
• Knowledge of BizTalk 2006 would be advantageous
• Ability to create Functional and Technical specification documentation for presentation to clients.
Useful Additional Skills & Experience
• Experience with any of the Microsoft Dynamics products, (MSCRM, Navision, Axapta) also BizTalk a distinct advantage.
